Once you have successfully completed the payment process you will be able to set up your display page.

You will need to go through the following steps:

  • Choose top level service category/ies.

Don't worry if you miss one, or get this slightly wrong, as at this stage the information is only used to store the draft display page you are creating. You will have to revisit the services later to choose more detailed service definitions that can be used by the search capabilities within The Ad Index. Once you have chosen the appropriate category/ies by clicking your mouse over the associated box(es) to place a tick in the box, click on the 'submit' button.

You will now be on the detailed input screen.

  • Enter Company / Client Name (mandatory) into the field provided.
  • Enter Contact Name into the field provided.
  • Enter the Address, using the fields provided. The City, Country, Area and postcode are all mandatory.
  • Enter the phone number you wish customers to use to contact you in the 'Phone' field provided.
  • Enter fax number you wish customers to use to contact you in the 'Fax' field provided.
  • Enter the email address you wish customers to use to contact you in the 'email' field provided (mandatory)
  • Enter the URL of the web page within your website that you wish the page link to route through to in the 'website' field provided.
  • Enter a full description of your business services in the 'Description' field provided. Information on some formatting commands you can use to improve how your display description looks is available here.
  • Enter details of any special offer(s) in the 'Special Offer' field provided.
  • Complete the meta data fields (Meta Title, Meta Keywords and Meta Description) to optimise your display page for the search engines. Information on how these fields are used, and how to complete them can be found here.

Once you are happy with the first draft of this information click on the 'submit' button at the bottom of the screen. All of the information you have just entered can be changed and improved at any time.

You will now be shown a screen which includes a draft of your display page based on the information you have entered. On the left side of this screen are some navigation buttons that you need to use to complete your display advert. You can go back into 'Edit Details' to amend the information you have just entered.

To complete a display page that will show up in appropriate searches on The Ad Index, and carry your company branding you must now work through the following, in this order:
