advanced search
The advanced search is built to make getting straight to the suppliers or opportunities that are relevant to your business as painless as possible. As a result of the number of variables you can include in your search the screen is functional more than pretty.

You can access the advanced search by clicking the option on the bottom of the left navigation / search section on any page. Alternatively it is also available from any search results screen should a normal search not provide what you were looking for.

How to use the advanced search
Once in the advanced search screen you will be presented with the 6 top level service categories – Knowledge, Services, Outdoor, Online, TV & Radio and Print.

As you move your mouse pointer over these categories your pointer will change into a hand. Click your mouse when you have the hand over a Service Category you wish to include in your search.

This category will now expand to show all the sub-categories within it, and within each sub-category yet a further level of detail. For example on expanding Print, you will see two sub categories – Magazines and Newspapers, then for each of these a breakdown of the type of Magazine or Newspaper. Making it possible for you to hone in on only magazines that serve a particular market, for example the sports market etc.

You can tick any number of the lower sub categories. Once you have set your criteria within a given service you can then go to another Service Category and add further criteria. Once all your search criteria has been set click on the 'submit' button at the bottom of the screen to run the search.

The search results will be returned in the normal search results screen.

Filtering search results
When a search has been performed and the results are listed for you to view, there is also an option to 'filter' the results further. The filters are shown at the top of the search results page. The available filters are Rating, Country, County and City.

To use the location filters you must work left to right by choosing the country first. The appropriate list of counties will then become available in the County filter. When you choose a county the appropriate list of towns and cities will become available in the City filter. With each stage the screen will refresh and the search results will reflect the filter you have just applied.
